Annual Celebrity Gala & Golf Classic
We are excited to announce that the 4th Annual Celebrity Gala & Golf Tournament at the Longboat Key Club & Resort was a huge success! This "all-star" event was held on November 21 and 22 to raise money for our most vulnerable children. Over 300 people attended the Gala on Friday night and experienced a once-in-a-lifetime glamorous evening with fine cuisine, an extravagant silent and live auction and live entertainment featuring Michael Israsel and The Greg Billings Band. 
Blessed by extremely generous sposors, donors and volunteers, we raised over $600,000 in just one short weekend.
The silent auction offered our guests over 120 amazing items to choose from during the cocktail hour. The live auction offered invaluable and unique experience packages you couldn't buy anywhere, including one-of-a-kind, original artwork by special guest and world-renowned artist Michael Israel. Israel performed his spectacular "Art in Concert" show that was an awe inspiring blend of live performance and painting. Our guests were enthralled with his performance and were clammering to bid to own one of his masterpieces. In addition to his paintings, the Gala showcased several other spectacular live auction lots. Guests had the opportunity to bid on a Harry Winston Ladies Diamond Avenue Timepiece; a one-week stay on The World; a Family Tennis Membership at the Longboat Key Club; a Robb Report Car of the Year Package; a Super Bowl Party on The World; a Rolls-Royce and La Jota package; and an autographed AC/DC drum skin featuring their newest album and tour.
This star-studded evening ended with a performance by The Greg Billings Band, who's recently released album "Do-Overs", can be heard on classic rock stations around the country. Guests danced the night away and even helped Greg sing several songs.
On Saturday, November 22nd, over 120 participants enjoyed a sun-drenched, fun-filled day of golf with high-profile celebrities at the Longboat Key Club & Resort Harbourside Golf Course. The tournament began with a golf clinic by Jim Thorpe and a delicious Island Barbeque. At the end of the day, we crowned champions Scott Libertore, Scott Suplee, Scot Srodes, Bob Wright and Roberto Borgatti. Each of these gentleman won a $1500 custom made suit courtesy of Tam Copenhaver with Premier Clothiers.
