Grant FAQ
Eligibility
How do I know if I am eligible for a grant from the All-Star Children's Foundation?
We make our grants to federally tax-exempt nonprofit organizations classified as 501(c)(3); public charities as defined by the Internal Revenue Service. The Foundation's grants are made to organizations whose program's mission is to break the cycle of child abuse, neglect and abandonment. For additional eligibility information, please view Grant making Guidelines.
How can I get money from the All-Star Children's Foundation if I have a personal dire need?
The Foundation does not make grants or loans to individuals. Our mission is to break the cycle of child abuse, neglect and abandonment. We serve only these organizations that meet this charitable need.
Applying for a Grant
What does the Foundation fund?
The All-Star Children's Foundation grants are in three main areas: prevention, education and treatment to break the cycle of child abuse, neglect and abandonment.
How do I apply for a grant?
The Foundation accepts grant applications for both program and capital projects once a year. Currently, there is no date scheduled for grant submissions for the 2009 calendar year. Please check back soon for more information.
Can anyone at the All-Star Children's Foundation help me write a grant?
We do not offer individual assistance with grant writing.

Can you refer me to anyone else for funding?
A good resource for both individuals and organizations is The Foundation Center. It does not provide funding itself, but is well-equipped to provide online resources to help grant seekers identify appropriate funders and develop targeted proposals. It has five locations throughout the state.
Founding Sponsor
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to our Founding Sponsor and the Official Sponsor of our two annual fundraisers, Longboat Key Club & Resort. Their financial, emotional and volunteer support since the Foundation's inception has been amazing. They are truly making a difference in the lives of many children!
